POLICE officers driving along a one-way street were confronted with a car coming towards them, a court was told.
When they stopped the vehicle and driver Alan Trevor Sheen got out and staggered across the road the officers arrested him.
A drink-drive test revealed he was more than three times over the limit.
Sheen, aged 28, of Breightmet, admitted drink-driving and driving without due care and attention in Dawson Street, Heywood. He also admitted driving without insurance a licence or test certificate.
After hearing Sheen had previously been disqualified in 1998 the bench ordered pre-sentence reports with all options open -- including jail.
Sheen was granted unconditional bail and will appear for sentencing on December 17.
