A MAN who drugged another man's drink and then raped him while he was unconscious has been jailed for six years.
The 24-year-old victim said he had fallen into a deep sleep after drinking strange-tasting vodka in the man's room.
The next thing he remembered was waking up the next morning sat in a lounge chair feeling very ill.
Peter Williams had denied mixing a drug in the man's drink and denied raping him. He claimed that the man had stolen temazepam tablets from him.
But Williams, aged 45, from the Bolton area but of no fixed abode, was convicted by a jury of raping the man and jailed for six years.
The court heard that Williams was already on the Sex Offenders' Register for previous offences and had not been out of prison for long when he raped the man.
