ON reading the report "Survey shock for victims of stroke" in Wednesday's edition of the BEN (November 21), it came as no shock to me.
I wrote to the BEN in May this year, following the death of my wife who was a stroke victim and admitted to the Royal Bolton Hospital, in which I said that stroke facilities were practically non-existent. It would appear my comments were justified.
I cannot say with any certainty that my wife would have survived her stroke, but I think she deserved a better chance than she was given.
