A 17-YEAR-OLD has died two weeks after he had to be cut from the wreckage of his car after crashing into two parked cars.
Kushik Jhala was driving down Deane Road towards Bolton when he lost control of his Ford Sierra, crossed the carriageway and hit a Mercedes and a Vauxhall Vectra.
Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to free the teenager and his passenger, Jai Jhala, believed to be his cousin, after the accident at 10.10pm on Saturday, November 10.
Both were taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital. Kushik, from Ducie Avenue, Bolton, died yesterday from his injuries.
Kushik was a pupil at the Bolton Institute. His family said yesterday that they did not want to talk about the tragedy.
The owner of the Vectra, who was sitting in his car at the time, escaped unhurt.
Police have made a fresh appeal for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to call 0161 872 5050.
