TWO young Bolton singers have won places in the last ten of a major talent contest.
Lauren Crossley, aged 16, from Farnworth, and Hayley Roberts, aged 14, from Boothstown, were in London today in a bid to land a record contract.
Both had entered the Roadshow Competition -- a contest held across the country to find emerging music talent.
The pair had got into the final 20 having beaten 12,000 hopefuls. But now the field is shortened to 10 youngsters, all wanting to sign a one-year single and album deal.
Lauren, a singer with two-and-a-half years experience, and Hayley, who has completed a set of demo recordings with the producers of Irish pop band Westlife, are managed by Jean Pasquill, who runs Melody Pop Tuition in Farnworth.
