Tyldesley Rugby Club enjoyed a winning weekend with all the sides recording wins.
The First XV entertained Dukinfield at St.George's Park and netted a seven try haul for a fine 39-0 win. In the earlier exchanges Tyldesley won the forward battle and with a solid platform the ball was spun wide to good effect allowing Gary Corbett on the left wing to score two more tries to up his tally to fourteen this season. Man of the Match Darren Edge also grabbed a brace of tries at No.8 and Skipper Eddie Wallbank dived over the line along with other scores from Lee West and Mark Swanton. Stand off Mark Dickinson was unlucky to land just two conversions in a good all round display that puts Tyldesley in good shape for the visit of Cockermouth next Saturday.
Tyldesley Knights travelled to Dukinfield and in a close fought game Tyldesley came through 8-5 thanks to a try and a penalty from Graham Harrop.
Tyldesley Dragons continued their improving form with a comprehensive 27-10 win over Dukinfield. There was two tries apiece for Jamie Parker and Sean Tyrer and another one from Fred Jones his third consecutive try. Skipper Peter Mannion landed one conversion and good performers on the day where Craig Cunliffe and Simon Mullineux.
Tyldesley Colts with all their County players back overcame a well organised Aldwinians team to register a 25-10 win. The backs ran the show with Ashley Worsfold dictating things in the middle of the park and giving space for both Mark Jones in the centre and winger Stuart Young who both grabbed two tries each. Next Sunday the Colts visit neighbours Bolton.
