A JURY took just 20 minutes to clear a man accused of hanging out of a bedroom window and threatening people with a gun.
Akeel Khan nodded and smiled to the jurors when they left the court after delivering their verdict.
During the trial two witnesses claimed they saw a man waving a gun through a window following a row between two sisters.
Khan was alleged to have threatened his girlfriend's sister with the gun following a row between the two women. But Khan denied having a gun and a weapon was never recovered.
Khan, aged 23, of Warwick Gardens, Bolton, appeared at Bolton Crown Court to stand trial on possessing a firearm. He had denied the charge.
During the course of an argument between the sisters Khan was allegedly seen waving a gun about from a bedroom window in Pennington Road in Great Lever.
In evidence his girlfriend's sister, Karen Corbett, said she had been only 20 feet away and had not been mistaken and was sure she had seen a gun.
Her former partner Paul Morton said he saw a man waving a stick through the window and then later a gun.
