IT'S not all smiles in the Done household this week after a North West punter took me for £100,000 on the horses, and I was hung out to dry by a 28-8 victory for Australia in last week's Rugby League Ashes decider.

And I thought we were a patriotic nation, obviously not where money's concerned.

It's good to see that Bolton have got it together at the Reebok, avenging a 1-0 league defeat by Southampton in the Worthington Cup on Tuesday. At 10/1 to win the Cup now they're in the quarter finals and I'm concerned about the 50/1 that I laid at the start of the season about Wanderers to qualify for Europe -- the odds are now into 6/11.

On Monday night Bolton travel to a rejuvenated Tottenham Hotspur and Michael Ricketts to score the first goal with a 2-0 Bolton victory pays a massive 175/1.

I can't understand all this criticism of Fabien Barthez - the world's best goalie. I was at the Arsenal match on Sunday and it's rubbish to blame Barthez for the defeat, the whole team was poor. He's a genuine world-class keeper who has won honours galore at the highest level, and I expect him to prove his worth big time in the coming months, starting with Chelsea tomorrow.

If you think I'm talking bull how does this grab you -- If Barthez concedes two or more goals against Chelsea tomorrow, I will refund the stakes on ALL losing bets on the match. I can't say fairer than that!

City fans might not fancy a visit to a wet and windy Grimsby (the players probably aren't too keen either), but these are the games that the Blues must win if they're to go straight up. City's away form has let them down in recent weeks and they've got three away games on the spin coming up, Grimsby, Millwall and Palace. I'm pushing the boat out here, you can have an early Christmas gift, 10/1 with me that they win all three matches.

All the prices quoted in my column are correct at the time of going to print.
