A DECADE of dedication has paid off for a big-hearted Bolton newsagent after he was praised for his charity work.

Imtiaz Adams, who runs Adams News Kiosk in Crompton Place, was presented with a framed picture of a guide dog as a thank you from the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association for raising £1,000.

It took ten years for Mr Adams to raise the money by collecting small donations from customers.

Mr Adams is pictured being presented with the picture by association members Jennie Masters and John Sandiford, accompanied by their guide dogs Escort and Ricky.

Honourary treasurer Tony Miller said: "It is purely thanks to Mr Adams and his customers that we have been able to put this money into the guide dogs association. His help has been excellent."
