A JURY considering a case of alleged indecent assault on a young boy was discharged after members failed to reach a verdict.
It was alleged that Keith Ceesay indecently assaulted a boy on several occasions during a three-year period.
Ceesay denied anything indecent had happened and said he was angry and disappointed that the boy had made the allegations.
But yesterday after deliberating for several hours the jury was discharged by the judge. The case will be relisted for next week when the prosecution will decide whether to go for a retrial or drop the charges.
Ceesay, aged 46, of Eldon Street, Tonge Moor, Bolton, had been on trial at Bolton Crown Court.
He faced three sample charges dating from November, 1997 when the boy was nine and ending in November last year. Ceesay denied all three charges.
