THE Tatton Community Group's Christmas Fair was so successful that the Father Christmas grotto ran out of presents!
Despite organisers having more presents for children than last year, over a thousand people came to the fair leaving Father Christmas with an empty sack.
But kids need not worry. Organisers had a word with Santa who assured them there will be more than enough presents for good children come Christmas Day! Chorley Silver Junior Brass Band entertained the crowd on the day with jolly festive music.
There was also tombolas, raffles, refreshments and craft and toy stalls which did a roaring trade throughout the day.
The fair held at Tatton Community Centre, Silverdale Road, was opened by Lord Hoyle of Warrington - Chorley MP Lyndsay Hoyle's father.
Organiser Tom Watson said: "It was a very successful event, probably the most successful we have had so far.
"Most of the craft stalls sold out and the raffle did exceedingly well."
The money raised by the event will be put towards providing children's play facilities for the recreation area in Tatton and for elderly services at Tatton community centre.
