CHORLEY'S Camelot Theme Park has been named Lancashire Family Attraction of the Year 2001 by the Good Britain Guide.
The leisure attraction was chosen by the guide's editor who visited the park in August following a record number of votes by readers.
Roy Page, chief executive of Prime Resorts Ltd which owns the 'medieval' theme park, said: "To be named Lancashire Family Attraction of the Year is a fantastic achievement, particularly when one considers the wide range of attractions available in the county.
"The award is particularly cherished because we have been recommended for the accolade by our customers."
The park was closed briefly in October when a maintenance worker was killed in an accident involving The Gauntlet ride.
