Leigh Miners Amateur Rugby League Football Club stage the 15th Civil Service Rugby League Challenge Cup Final today (Friday) when Bolton Civil Service take on Manchester Civil Service.
The competition is open to all Government Departments and Agencies within CSSC Sports and Leisure .
The Manchester team draw their players from local Prison Officers based in the Manchester area.
Sure to be at the forefront of things is the Haydock player Kevin O'Garra whilst Andy Matthews (Rylands) and Mick Wilson (Rochdale Mayfield) won't take a backward step.
The side is captained by Former Prestwich player Chris Clayson and includes Spring Views Jason Gore and Eccles Brad Pugh in the centres.
This is the fourth time a team from Manchester has got to the final.
The Bolton side comprise mainly Royal Mail workers from the Bolton area.
They are led by ex Tyldesley RUFC Forward Karl Maginn from the Farnworth depot.
Horwich depot provide Darren Wilson who had scored a fine try against Health and Social Security North West Region in an earlier round.
Darren has also appeared in the Bolton sides for football,11 aside cricket, 6 a side cricket, Rugby Union, Skittles and TenPin Bowling.
All the players taking part in the competition have to be members of CSSC Sports and Leisure and all contribute a minimum of £25 per year to play!
Membership is open to those people who do the jobs of the current Civil Service or Executive Agencies or those firms that now do that work.
Staff do not have to be on permanent contracts to join and temporary and casual staff can become members.
So the stage is set for an intruiging encounter - the inexperience of the Bolton Side against an uncompromising Manchester Side who have been there before but never won the final.
Will Bolton deliver? Or can Manchester unlock the key to Boltons defence?
Kick off is at 7.30pm at Leigh Miners ARLFC.
