BURNDEN Road Runners completed their season with the Guys 10 mile race at Bilsbarrow. On a fast, flat course some good times were expected and the ladies duly obliged.
Lesley Fisher won the ladies race by five seconds, in a new personal best time of 1hr 6mins 27seconds. Jacqui Beevers won the ladies vet 50 category in 1hr 22mins 34secs. In the men's race Andy Staveley just crept over the hour again, finishing in 1.00.26, for the second time in three weeks. The sub one-hour 10 mile is not too far in the future for Andy who has shown great improvement this year.
