BOLTON Under 14s bid to make progress in the North West Woodward Trophy when they take on Chorley in their first round clash at Sharples School on Saturday, kick off 10am.
The town team have been embroiled in a row about the availability of boys during the first half of the season and this has meant that they have won just one of their first eight matches played.
Bolton's first win came in a 1-0 success at Liverpool on November 15 and team boss Ivor Altdorf will be hoping that their second win will come in the prestigious North West competition.
Bolton Under 15s have been drawn against Rossendale in the first round of the North West Alder Cup but they have scheduled that match for Saturday, January 12.
The town team are instead going to the seaside this weekend for a challenge match against Blackpool at Common Edge.
