BOLTON Under 15s have been given an away tie at Rossendale in the first round of this season's North West Alder Cup.
The Alder Cup, a competition for North West associations knocked out of the first two rounds of the English Schools' Wizards Trophy, is a highly popular competition and Bolton will be hoping to make progress into the quarter finals.
Bolton were knocked out of the national inter association knockout cup when they went down 5-2 away to Trafford.
Bury Under 15s, who were knocked out at the second round stage going down 9-1 to a strong Liverpool side, have been given a home drawn against South Ribble in the North West Cup.
The full draw is: West Lancashire v Mid Cheshire, Bury v South Ribble, Salford v Blackpool, Blackburn v Warrington, Chorley v Trafford, Rossendale v Bolton, Wigan v St. Helens, Oldham v Stockport.
The Under 14s North West Woodward Trophy attracts more entries with all associations eligible for the competition.
Bury have no team at Under 14s level but Bolton have been given an away tie at Chorley in the first round.
The full first round draw is: St. Helens v Trafford, Sefton v Manchester, Warrington v Wigan, Chorley v Bolton. Byes : Rossendale, Stockport, Liverpool, Salford, Mid Cheshire, Preston, South Ribble, Kirkby, Blackburn, Wirral, Blackpool.
