THIS week, I ask for forgiveness, as there is a little bias towards my own team. We play in the tranquil tempo of the "Tennants" Sunday Morning Premier League, writes Marcus Brown .

Without doubt, soon to be the youngest recipient of a M5s' Premiership title and trophy will be my 19-month-old son, Kai, after which my team is appropriately named -- KAI's 5. Obviously, Kai, for the time being, doesn't don the same size 9s all-weather trainers, but he does, however, receive a full analysis of how many goals his daddy has scored -- or not!

The title was confirmed after, literally, the Sunday League's last kick of the season, as KAI's 5 comfortably disposed of Andy Arnold's Griffin (Broughton), 14-6. Having to, again, for the second consecutive season, settle for runners-up are Mo Adia's Streamline.

KAI's 5 -- Vinny McHugh (gk), Marcus Brown, Lee Nichols, Malc Robinson, Paul Longworth, Scott Robinson, Lee Ashworth, Jimmy Russell and Liam Ralph.

The performance of the week was that of Neil Hydman's Real Prestolee, of the "Tennants" Sunday Evening Premiership. With an average age of 17 years of age, this team play their football with a remarkable amount of maturity and guile, of which much is obtained from their 11-a-side connections. As the table shows, Real Prestolee sit nicely on top of the division, largely thanks to a stunning 11-9 victory that smashed Bayern Lever's five-month unbeaten run, a victory that re-confirms the phrase -- "it's not if you're old enough, but if you're good enough".

The Sunday Morning Premiership will resume January 6, 2002. Any interested new teams please contact Marcus/Chris on 01204 796914. Leading up to the re-start, new teams will be offered a FREE trial game.
