BOLTON'S musical youth get into the swing of Christmas festivities with a busy line-up of events.
On Saturday, the Bolton Junior Youth Orchestra appears at Thornleigh College, and the following night Bolton Youth Orchestra performs at the Pennine Suite at the Last Drop, Bromley Cross.
All Bolton music Service concert band ensembles then join forces for the Parent Support Group Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 18, at 7pm.
The event, at the Lion of Vienna Suite at the Reebok Stadium, will include the Training Wind Ensemble, Intermediate Wind Ensemble, Youth Wind Ensemble, Youth Concert Band, Percussion Ensembles, Youth Jazz Orchestra, Clarinet Choir and Flute Choir.
Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton, Cllr Kevan Helsby and Mrs Alice Kilcoyne, will attend. The annual event is expected to be a sell-out.
Wednesday, December 19, is the final event in the run-up to Christmas with the Bolton Music Service brass band awards evening.
