JIMMY James and the Vagabonds will be making a return visit to Horwich Leisure Centre on December 21 at 8pm.
"Jimmy is one of those larger-than-life artists whose every breath on stage is intertwined with his music -- he is rhythm personified," said the judges at the Club Acts Awards when, together with the Vagabonds, he won "Group of the Year".
He is rated among the greats who have also inspired him, such as Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Ben E King and Otis Reading.
Jimmy brought his timeless band to the UK in the '60s and has stayed here ever since.
Tickets are on sale at £12.50 and a late bar will be available.
