BOLTON Under 15s are still without a win after going down 6-4 to Blackpool in their challenge match at the seaside.
Bolton had the better of the early exchanges and took the lead with a goal from Phil Allen (St. James) but Blackpool hit back minutes later to draw level.
The first half continued to see-saw and the home side edged ahead after 20 minutes but Bolton continued to play well and were rewarded when Robert Hayes (Sharples) scored to make it 2-2 at the break.
Blackpool went ahead again after the restart but Bolton were back on equal terms minutes later after Tom Birchby (Turton) fired home.
But Bolton hopes were dashed when a suspected offside goal was allowed and then minutes later the referee awarded the seasiders a disputed penalty which they duly converted to lead 5-3.
Bolton fought hard and pulled a goal back with a second strike from Bichby but Blackpool sealed their victory with a sixth goal late in the game.
Bolton manager Jason Nash said: "The Blackpool manager was so embarrased about the two disputed goals midway through the second half that he came over and apologised to the team after the game."
Bolton Under 14s North West Woodward trophy 1st Round clash against Chorley was postponed due to unfit pitches.
Meanwhile, at individual schools level, the Derby School (Bury) have been drawn at home to Weaverham School (Cheshire) in the 4th Round of the English Schools Gerrard Cup.
The Bury lads reached the last 64 of the individual schools national cup with a 4-2 win against Barlow School (Manchester).
Tottington School (Bury) are also inthe last 64 and they have been drawn at home to Wade Deacon School (Widnes) in the 4th Round.
