DRAMA students from Bolton Institute are set to premiere a production of a controversial Broadway play, not previously seen in this country outside London.
States of Shock, by Sam Shepherd, was written in 1994 and originally starred John Malkovich in the lead role.
It offers a theatrical, moving and at times disturbingly funny stance against war, which features America in a time of crisis.
The production will be staged at the Pavilion Theatre, Chadwick, from next Tuesday to Thursday. Evening performances on Tuesday and Wednesday start at 7pm, with matinees on Wednesday and Thursday at 2pm. Tickets, costing £2, from 903236 or 903245, or e-mail is4@bolton.ac.uk
