A KINDLY neighbour who always thinks of others gets a floral "thank you" today.
Mrs Connie Molloy, from Bligh Road, Westhoughton was nominated for the BEN Bouquet of the Week by Mrs Jean Hague.
She writes: "Connie is always on the look out for her family, neighbours and friends and anyone else who may need help either doing their shopping, running errands, taking messages, or just someone to talk to.
"She takes elderly people in her car for hospital appointments, stays with them and then drives them home again afterwards.
"She also invites people into her home for meals when their partners are confined to hospital.
"She has been involved in supporting Darcy Lever Cricket Club in the local rounders league in fund-raising events for many years, always volunteering and never needing to be asked.
"Connie epitomises what local community spirit really means and without people like her there would be no, what we call, Lancashire hospitality and friendship."
Modest Connie was suprised and delighted to receive the lovely bouquet, which arrived courtesy of Caroline Ward's flower and gift delivery service (freephone 0800-289-335.)
