AS we approach the Queen's Jubilee Year 2002 do you think it would be more appropriate when the National Anthem is sung at official functions that either the full three verses are sung, or verses one and two instead of the usual verses one and three.
I realise that normally only choral unions sing more than one verse.

The Cheethams,
Blackrod
Thank you Mr Monaghan for providing the words of all three verses:
Verse 1,
God Save out gracious Queen
Long live our Noble Queen
God Save the Queen
Send her victorious
Happy and glorious
Long to reign over us
God Save the Queen
Verse 2
For on this land alone
But be God's mercies shown
From shore to shore
Lord make the nations see
That all should brothers be
And form one family
The wide world o'er
Verse 3
The choicest gifts in store
On her be pleased to pour
Long may she reign
May she defend our laws
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice
God save the Queen.
