CAN I thank your paper for its campaign for more resources for the Royal Bolton Hospital.
I hope you will continue to fight for our community. I also thank those elected representatives who have fought for more resources.
However, after four years of Labour Government, the Royal Bolton Hospital stands for everything New Labour promised to end over four years ago. Matters have got worse not better. I am particularly interested in the care of stroke patents of all ages, but especially my age.
I think it is time the Secretary of State for Health Alan Milburn visited the Royal Bolton Hospital personally. It is for our three MPs to pressure Alan Milburn to visit the hospital as a matter of urgency.
I have seen this hospital decline in the years New Labour has been in power, despite its promises.
When the next election comes, I will be delivering my vote on the improvement of stroke services in Bolton for the whole population, including the elderly.
Much of the responsibility lies with our three New Labour MPs.
