SHOPPERS will be able to see inspiring art as well as bargains at Radcliffe's Market Hall under Bury Art Gallery and Museum's "Picture on the Move" scheme.
A copy of a famous picture from the borough's Wrigley collection, "Snowballing" by French artist Edouard Frere, is hanging in the hall with information about the work and the artist.
Radcliffe markets officer Yasmin Ullah said: "When we mentioned the scheme to the market traders, they thought it it was a great idea. They chose the painting and it is now on display in the community area of the hall." It has only been up a short time so it is difficult to gauge the reaction of shoppers however, it's not everyday that you see a work of art in a Market Hall so I am sure it is bound to rouse some interest."
