THE funeral of teenager Carly Bateman, was due to be held at Bolton's Overdale West Chapel today.
Devastated parents Vanessa and Alan, sister Lianne and brother Simon said their farewells to the 17-year-old who was killed in the Haulgh on the fringe of the town's red light district in an alleyway off Crawford Avenue on Sunday, November 11.
Detectives were also due to attend the funeral which left The Old Parsonage in Park Street at 11.45am for a service and committal at the crematorium at noon.
Police are still appealing for information and are searching for the clothing she was wearing on the night she was murdered.
Her clothing included a light coloured three-quarter length pants, a grey and blue top with the Ellesse logo and white Reebok trainers with pink inserts.
