MURDER Squad detectives hunting the killer of teenage prostitute Carly Bateman searched a house in Bromwich Street as part of the investigation.
Police are also appealing for help in trying to locate the clothes she is believed to have been wearing when she was killed.
Carly, aged 17, was naked was she was discovered in an alley at the back of Crawford Avenue in the early hours of Sunday.
When she was last seen, at around midnight on Saturday, she was wearing light coloured three quarter length pants, a grey and blue top with 'Ellesse' written across the front and white Reebok trainers with pink inserts.
None of these items have yet been recovered.
Detective Chief Inspector Tony Cook, who is leading the investigation said: "I would ask all local residents to check their gardens, bins, sheds and outbuildings for any sign of these clothes.
"Local people have been extremely helpful with the investigation so far, and I am again asking for their help so that we can find Carly's killer as quickly as possible and bring them to justice."
Dry cleaners and charity shops are also being asked to check items they have received since Sunday to see if they match the description of Carly's clothing.
