THE Goldline Trophy is building up to a gripping climax as the sides prepare for the semi-finals of the event.
The draw to decide the fate of the last four sides will be made at half-time of the Bolton Wanderers versus Leeds United game at the Reebok Stadium on Boxing Day, the scene of the eventual final in the Spring.
However, tournament organisers are still trying to determine the venues for the games, and are looking at Chorley's Victory Park ground or Leyland, home of the Lancashire FA.
Representatives from each club will visit the Reebok for the draw, for which Charnock Richard, Prestwich Heys and Atherton Collieries have already qualified.
Nevertheless, there is still the unfinished business of a fourth quarter-final to be decided, with the Hindsford against Atherton Town match to be played on Tuesday week at Crilly Park - home of Atherton LR. Kick off for that game will be 7.30pm. After a number of postponements, Goldline officials are advising spectators to contact them before travelling. Competition treasurer Andy Whittle can be contacted on 07905 447954.
