TWO cheques for £1,900 each have been presented to local organisations by Rotary Club of Bolton Daybreak.
The club organised this year's successful Bolton Charity Team Triathlon which attracted 25 entries. They raised £3,800 between them in sponsorship and entry fees.
Triathlon organiser Philip Riding and the Rotary Club's president, Liz Tatman, presented the cheques to Jerry Glover of Bolton Lads' and Girls' Club and Ray Jefferson of the NW Life Education Trust.
David Lloyd Leisure Centre was the main Triathlon sponsor, allowing free use of the facilities and providing T-shirts for the competitors.
Also, T Wright & Son, Horwich supplied a £200 gift voucher as a prize for sponsors to guess the overall time of the winning team.
