CITY fans are set to get square eyes over the next couple of months.
The Blues are set to blow the theory that Nationwide League teams are not covered by television right out of the water as SEVEN of their next 11 league games are screened live.
The armchair feast begins on Sunday when Bradford City's visit to Maine Road is shown on Granada (2.15pm ko) and it is followed by the home games against Burnley on Saturday, December 29, at home against against Norwich City on Sunday January 13, the following Sunday away at Watford, then Sunday, February 3 at Wimbldon, seven days later at home to Preston and six days after that on Saturday, February 16 at Stockport County.
Unlike most clubs, the packed living rooms and pubs will not affect attendances at Maine Road or the willingness of Blues followers to travel as City continue to surprise with the level of their support at home and away.
Tuesday night's 33,600 attendance on a bone-chillingly icy night against Wolves was typical of the loyalty of City's support. Every home game has been a full house with the attendance only wavering depending on the number of visiting supporters while travelling fans have had to be sharp with away allocations snapped up quickly.
Four victories from the last five league outings lifted City to second before today's matches and alarm signals will be sounding in rival camps with the news from the Maine Road treatment table.
Striker Paulo Wanchope has been back in full training for more than a week and due to make his reappearance at any time after being out since September.
What coach Kevin Keegan will do with his strikeforce then is anybody's guess.
Wanchope began the season as number one striker but, while he has been sidelined, he has seen Shaun Goater raise his season tally to 23 while Darren Huckerby has smashed 12 goals in the last 14 games.
Many believe Keegan should go with the men in form which would mean keeping Wanchope back. But, whatever he decides to do, there are 23 other mangers in this division who would love to have the same dilemma.
