The Tahiti-born 20-year-old, who is described as a "Vieira-type" player, is considered one of the brightest prospects in French football. Allardyce completed the formalities and said: "This is a real coup for the club. Gerald is a much sought after youngster and we are delighted to bring him here, adding yet more quality to our squad."
The 6ft 2in youngster commented: "This is a great move for me. Bolton are a great club and have a great stadium. I'm happy to play my football here."
