A WOMAN was rescued from her blazing home in Leigh by a brave neighbour.
A firefighter was also slightly injured when he went inside the house in Glebe Street with three colleagues to search for the trapped householder.
When fire crews arrived at the scene at 4am yesterday, they saw flames shooting about 10ft from the lounge window.
The woman in her 40s had climbed out of her bedroom window and on to the roof of the kitchen. She was helped to safety by a neighbour.
