FRANK Sinatra was among 250 guests dining and dancing at a four-star hotel in Horwich.
The legendary singer -- aka impersonator Phil Fryer -- entertained Bolton's mayor Cllr Kevan Helsby and a host of other civic dignitaries during a Hollywood themed night at De Vere Whites Hotel.
The £30-a-head Mayor's Ball was a glitzy affair this year as some of the guests dressed up as their favourite film stars.
Cash was raised for Bolton Hospice and cancer hospital Christie's.
Each of the guests had a sumptuous meal in the hotel's Platinum Suite as a pianist played in the background.
But following the desert, the guests -- which included MP David Crausby and leading councillors including John Byrne and Barbara Ronson -- made their way to the dance floor for the late-night disco.
Cllr Helsby said: "Everyone had a fabulous time and I'd like to thank them all for attending.
"We made thousands of pounds for charity although as yet we do not know the exact amount. It was the first time we've had a themed night and it was very successful."
