SHAKERS chairman Terry Robinson, who sensationally resigned last week, has been appointed football executive at Sheffield United.
Robinson will work alongside chairman Derek Dooley and John Thurman at Bramall Lane and maintians the club's links with Bury - manager Neil Warnock and assistant boss Kevin Blackwell were also with the Shakers.
Robinson said: "I hope I can be a catalyst that will help all areas of the football club. I will be supportive of all aspects of the club, from fans to commercial backers.
"I will do what I can to help take the weight of the management team to help them make progress as a team.
"I have been impressed with the ambition of the club, particularly the plans for the academy. It is admirable that the focus is on young players, I have seen too many examples in football of good money being spent on mediocre players."
