DO the council really care?
I had cause to report to the Withins Estate Manager about frequent amounts of rubbish that were being dumped between the side of my fencing and the adjoining garages. This was several months ago.
Yes, you've guessed it. The rubbish is still there. Maybe it is because the problem is between Bury New Road and Toronto Street where it cannot be seen.
Two weeks ago, someone (and they know who they are) deposited a large natural Christmas tree in the same place as the other rubbish. I dragged it out and left it lying in the back street for all to see. Later in the day it had been replaced, so I removed it again into the middle of the back street.
The people in question all have cars, so why didn't the just take it to the council rubbish tip? Or follow your advert advice in the BEN.
Eventually someone did remove it, probably through guilt. I just hope next year they get an artificial one, maybe they won't want to throw it away and have a 75-year-old woman complaining.
