YOURI Djorkaeff - a World Cup winner with France - is believed to be the latest ambitious transfer target Sam Allardyce has singled out as he tries desperately to keep Wanderers in the Premiership.
There has been no comment from the Reebok in response to tabloid speculation that the 33-year-old former international midfielder - currently with top German club Kaiserslautern - has flown to England to discuss a possible loan move to Bolton.
But Allardyce, having recently signed the German international striker Fredi Bobic from Borussia Dortmund in a similar deal, continues to set his transfer sights high and is understood to have checked out Djorkaev's availability.
The much-travelled midfielder spent six years at Grenoble and one season in 1990 at Strasbourg before Monaco snapped him up. He spent four seasons there, one season at Paris SG and three years at Inter-Milan. He joined Kaiserslauten in 1999 but has only played four games for them this season.
He has 74 full caps for France.
