A HEARTBROKEN mother is appealing to a kindhearted Good Samaritan to return a bracelet bought in memory of her son, who tragically died 26 years ago.
Joyce Farrimond is hoping that her silver bracelet will be returned after she lost it in the changing rooms of The Water Place, Bolton.
The Breightmet woman treasures the piece of jewellery as a "beloved momento" of her son, Peter, who died aged five in a car accident.
It is the second time that Mrs Farrimond has lost the bracelet. Two years ago, it slipped from her wrist in Benidorm -- and was returned by a Liverpool resident who tracked her down on the Internet.
Following the tragedy in 1976, family and friends clubbed together and bought Mrs Farrimond the bracelet, engraving it with the message: "In memory of Peter from the patrons of the New Wilton Hotel".
Mrs Farrimond, of Mobberley Road, Breightmet, said: "I am just appealing to someone's better nature to return the bracelet. It means such a lot to me. It is something which has such emotional value. I also lost my watch but I'm not bothered about that."
Anyone who can help should contact Mrs Farrimond on Bolton 523477 or police on 0161 872 5050.
