IT'S now four years since the ABC (formerly Lido) cinema in Bolton's Bradshawgate sadly closed.
In contrast with so much excellent development elsewhere in the Bolton Borough, this site remains a terrible eyesore.
One might reasonably suggest that such closure should not be allowed, unless the owner can provide definite proposals for future use within an agreed timescale (say 12 months).
To hang on to an increasingly shabby site in the heart of the town until the right offer comes along is surely wrong.
Any chance of the council/owners/relevant developers striking a deal before the Commonwealth Games hit town?
