I WRITE in reply to the article regarding the MMR vaccination and Dr Robert Aston's granddaughter in the Bolton Evening News.
It would appear to me that this is no more than a political stunt and it is reminiscent of the mess John Gummer made by parading his daughter eating a beef burger in front of the press just before the BSE outbreak. I must therefore question his motives in placing his granddaughter in the public spotlight.
Now Dr Aston has entered the political arena, I would like him to answer the following two questions:
If parents are refusing MMR vaccination, then why are they not offered single vaccinations?
What is the price difference between the two different vaccinations?
