EXPERIENCED West Ham defender Nigel Winterburn reflected on last night's demoralising last-minute FA Cup defeat by Chelsea then said: "We have to pick ourselves up straight away and get a result at Bolton.
"This game's now gone and we have to forget it as, if we lose again on Saturday, everyone starts looking at a crisis.
"We're playing teams now in the league that are around us or below us. If we get enough points, we can put ourselves in a safe position. If we sort our away form out, we're capable of finishing well up the league."
Their 2-0 win against Blackburn last weekend moved them into 11th place, six points clear of Saturday's opponents Wanderers, who occupy the final relegation zone position in 18th spot.
However, West Ham are not clear of the danger zone yet and manager Glen Roeder cannot afford his team, albeit with Frederic Kanoute set to be restored to the line-up after a hamstring strain, to have their focus affected by last night's 3-2 cup defeat.
