LINDSAY Hoyle, MP for Chorley, has pressed ministers in a debate on the Post Office to do all they can to help local services and ensure mail deliveries do not suffer.
Mr Hoyle wants rural post offices protected and warned of problems with bringing competition to the Royal Mail. He said firms would "cherry pick" profitable delivery rounds and more costly services in rural areas would suffer.
