A WOMAN whose daughter died of a drugs overdose has been awarded £10,000 in compensation in a settlement with Social Services in Manchester.
Manchester City Council agreed to apologise to the woman after Social Services in the city failed to give her daughter the support she needed.
A Local Government Ombudsman report has ruled £10,000 was a suitable payout.
