BOLTON Under 15s are celebrating their first victory of the season.
The local youngsters achieved their first win in style with a 4-1 victory against Wigan in their Greater Manchester Schools' League clash.
Bolton made a dream start going ahead in the very first minute after Wigan put the ball into their own net.
The town team went further ahead after 15 minutes when a Tom Birchby (Turton) shot hit the back of the Wigan net.
Bolton continued to dominate the game and David Edwards (Harper Green) fired home for a 3-0 lead on 25 minutes to joyous celebrations from the touch line.
It was a marvellous start by the Bolton lads and they went further in front with a Nicky Adams (Sharples) 25 yard drive just before the break giving the local lads a comfortable 4-0 half time lead which they hung onto.
Wigan hit back after the restart but Bolton defended well throughout the remainder of the game to register a well deserved victory.
Bury Under 15s suffered a set back to their Greater Manchester Schools' League campaign going down 4-1 to Trafford at the Derby School.
Bury trailed 2-0 after 20 minutes when Trafford bagged a couple of goals inside a minute through Lee Henley and Michael Lee.
Bury hit back on the stroke of half time through Michael Wilkinson (Coney Green), who fired home following a goalmouth scramble.
The local youngsters had the better of the early exchanges of the second half as they pressed forward in search of the equaliser.
But they left themselves open at the back and Trafford took full advantage netting another couple of goals through Liam Brownhill and Johan Clarke.
Bolton Under 14s' Greater Manchester Schools League match against Macclesfield at Sharples School was postponed.
But the town team are in mid week action when they travel to take on Blackpool in the 2nd Round of the North West Woodward Trophy at Stanley Park on Wednesday, kick off 6.30pm.
