Lancs Amateur League: BOLTON County moved into second place in the Premier Division following an 8-1 win over Hesketh Casuals.
Although set to play at home the heavy rain during the week saw County move the game down to the Eccles Brookhouse playing fields which were in perfect condition.

Thornleigh went down 3-2 at Mostonians, Martin Warburton scoring a penalty, Wayne Belshaw putting home a free kick and Steve Firth winning the man of the match vote.
In the only Division Two game to survive the weather Bury Amateurs celebrated a 2-1 home victory over Spotland Methodists with Rick Nathan converting a 50th minute penalty for handball and Craig Birch curling a left foot beauty in the final minute after the visitors had equalised.
Right back Chris Wynn won the star performer vote but three players impressed who promoted from the Reserves, right winger Stevie Stewart, striker Leon Maguire and midfielder Darren Channon.
Wyresdale 3rds beat Radcliffe Amateurs 3-2, Steve Carney scoring twice, one a penalty, and Chris Frost once. Phil Wheldon got both for the losers with goalkeeper Kenny Walker the star of the show.
The Ammies 2nds lost 6-1 to Bury GSOB, Phil Barron the scorer. Horwich RMI Reserves produced some of their best football of the season to register a 4-0 home win over Spotland Meths, whilst Sladians drew 3-3 at Hesketh Casuals. Bury GSOB A team celebrated a 4-0 home victory over Mostonians.
