STAR student Helen Crawforth made history by smashing Bolton School's record for A-Level success.
Helen, aged 18, of Heaton has achieved four A grades at A-Level and notification that in three of her subjects, French, English Literature and History, and is among the top five students in the country.
Helen, who is now bound for Cambridge's Trinity College to read English, said her success was still sinking in. She said: "It's come as a bit of a shock, but a nice shock."
