THE HIVES -- Hate To Say I Told You So
The Swedish rockers who want to be Your New Favourite Band should be crashing into the charts with this big-riffed stomper of a pop tune. With their sharp suits and sharp tunes, The Hives are lots of fun.
DB BOULEVARD -- Point Of View
Probably the catchiest dance tune so far this year. This tune, championed by Pete Tong, is set be a huge hit for the Italian dance collective. Watch out for the fantastic cardboard cut-out video.
PUDDLE OF MUDD -- Control
They might be friends with Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst but don't hold that against them. This debut single, better known as "the smack my ass song", is perfect grunge pop and well worth checking out.
WIP featuring EMMIE -- I Won't Let You Down
If you liked Angelic and Ian Van Dahl then you'll love this. Emmie had a top five hit in 2000 with More Than This and now she's back with more cheesy trance to dance to round your handbag with your hands in the air.
PETEY PABLO - I
He's helped Missy Elliot and Bubba Sparxxx into the charts and now producer Timbaland has a new protege.
In the US the rasping rapper has been causing "unsurpassed hysteria" so this egocentric anthem could be a hit.
NO DOUBT -- Hey Baby
After guesting with Eve recently on Let Me Blow Ya Mind, Gwen Stefani has brought some of that hit-making magic back to her own band. This funky hybrid of electro and hip-hop marks a fine return to form.
