TALENTED teenagers have raised more than £1,000 for a boy struggling to beat leukaemia.
Pupils from Woodhey High School in Ramsbottom joined professional acts from the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester to put on a talent show at the school.
The show was held to raise cash for Atherton teenager Daniel Berry, who was diagnosed with leukaemia last year. It was the idea of 14-year-old pupil Kimberley Murphy, who compered the show alongside friend "Adonis".
More than 700 people flocked to watch the show. The acts were co-ordinated by Anne Adeyemi, drama teacher at the school on Bolton Road West and board member at the Bridgewater Hall.
Kimberley's mum, Sue Murphy, said: "We were having to turn people away, it was jam packed. The overwhelming feeling is that the pupils of Woodhey were stupendous."
