SAM Allardyce has told Youri Djorkaeff to lower his wage demands or miss out on this summer's World Cup.
The Wanderers' boss has offered the French World Cup winner a loan switch from Kaiserslautern and Djorkaeff says he is confident of striking a deal that will bring him to the Reebok.
But Allardyce is struggling to match the 33-year-old midfielders terms.
"He has a choice," the Bolton boss said. "He can stay in Germany and sit in the reserves and miss out on the French squad for the World Cup, or come and play for us and get back in the international picture."
