NO changes at the top and bottom of the Premier Division, Ramsbottom A are 21 points ahead, while Ramsbottom C would appear to be firmly planted at the bottom.

Top Ten leader Mike Moir trebled for the A team in their 6-3 win at Lostock, and Louis Rosenthall and Dave Griffiths both won three sets for Farnworth in their 6-3 win against H/Hilton A to retain second place.

Joe Green's three wins and Stuart Horn's two gave Horwich Sports their 5-4 win over bottom team Ramsbottom C. The Rammy side are now nine points adrift, and have played one more match then their rivals. Bob Jackson scored a decisive treble for Wharton to give them their 5-4 win against Little Lever

Mosses scored maximum points against Heaton B in Division One, which leaves them three points behind leaders Nomads A with two matches in hand. The Nomads team ran out 6-3 winners against Ladybridge, which included a treble by Top Ten leader Craig Johnson.

At the bottom one point separates the two Horwich Hilton teams. The C team fielded a depleted team in their 8-1 defeat by Wharton, and the B lost 5-4 at Wingates, for whom John Bradbury trebled. Funny bat exponent Kavan Orton has returned to good form, trebling again for Chorley Old Road in their 7-2 win against Heaton A

Wingates and Heaton C head the Division Two table both on 87 points, and at the bottom Ladybridge B are 15 points adrift, but have a match in hand. Wingates predictably beat Ladybridge B 8-1, with John Birchall winning the set for Ladybridge, and Heaton C scored maximum points against Meadow Hill.

Ian Lansdale continues to climb up the Top Ten table and trebled again for Little Lever in their win 6-3 win at Heaton D. Alan Hardman won his three sets for Ladybridge C who won 6-3 at Nomads, and Top Ten contender Pete Bladen trebled for Hilton B, who beat BEN A 6-3, the win also included two useful wins by Julie Ardasharner

Halls in Division Three have a match in hand, and a nine point lead over Halliwell Meths, with Farnworth, who have played the least number of matches in the Division firmly in bottom spot, 14 points adrift at this time.

Division Four Leaders Ramsbottom D are 10 points ahead with two matches in hand, and bottom team Heaton G are three points adrift but have played more matches than the teams above them.

The Rammy team scored a 7-2 win over Hilton F, while Jubilee A in second place lost 6-3 at Memorial Road, trebles in the matches by Brian Ingham for Rammy and Richard Hannant for Memorial Road. Meadow Hill B are now back in action, and teams are requested to make an effort to arrange the outstanding matches, this week they went down 5-4 at YMCA, for whom Ray Wheatley trebled. Top Ten leader Virit Chauhan trebled for BEN B, who beat Heaton G 7-2, and Alan Bradshaw won his three sets for Hilton H who won 8-1 at Heaton F.

Hilton I consolidated their position in top spot in Division Five with an 8-1 win against Ellesmere B, which included trebles by Gilbert Wilkinson and Ron Ainsworth. Stuart Burton trebled for Ellesmere C, who recorded their second win of the season 6-3 against Ladybridge H, as did Phil Yates for Meadow Hill who beat Hilton J 7-2.
