THE BEN reported recently that Eddie Davies OBE, a businessman and ex-player of local amateur club Little Lever Sports Club (previously Old Farnworthians AFC), had invested more money in Bolton Wanderers than anyone else in the club's history.
As the club is in danger of sliding out of the Premier League, and thereby forfeiting possibly £30m-£40m a year, are there no other businessmen in Bolton who could spare a crust or two to help big Sam out?
